Since 2013 I have had the privilege of enjoying the Rockies and sharing them with the people I love—sometimes through Facebook and sometimes by dragging them through an epic or two. Throughout my adventures, online trips reports have been invaluable. They’ve shown me the mountains and the people I share them with. I treasure the personal reflections woven into the tales of high peaks and grueling slogs. These have helped me reflect on my own journey as a mountaineer and as a person.
I started this blog to give me more freedom in the expression of my thoughts and stories and to open them up that others might profit through them. I hope you are blessed by it, whether you are a family member looking to stay up to date on my adventures or a fellow mountaineer seeking beta. And I look forward to seeing you out there, enjoying the thousand hills and the One who made them all.
“I am God, your God…
For every beast of the forest is mine,
the cattle on a thousand hills.
I know all the birds of the hills,
and all that moves in the field is mine.”
-Psalm 50:7, 10-11 (ESV)
